Hey there! I’m a Munich-based visual consultant with almost 15 years’ experience in the photo industry.

 
I‘ve worked for top magazine publishers like Condé Nast, photo agencies in Germany and New York City and creative marketing teams across the globe. 

My first playground (aka internship) was at a small radio station in my hometown of Graz, Austria where I first fell for the magic of editorial storytelling. From that moment I was hooked and this passion drives my career ever since.

Hervé Poulain x Le Mans 


For a story about the inventor of the BMW Art Car concept, French racing driver, Hervé Poulain, I commissioned the Barcelona-based illustrator Max-o-matic to visualize Hervé’s anectodes from an interview and the featured cars. 

The focus of the story lies on the first four Art Cars by Alexander Calder (1975), Frank Stella (1976), Roy Lichtenstein (1977) and Andy Warhol (1979) that turned BMW racing cars into masterpieces and that took part in the 24 hours of Le Mans race.


Partly for copyright reasons, we decided to use real photography of the cars and mix it with illustrative elements and colors/patterns that resembles the respective artist’s style. Max is a wonderful collage artist that sketches fast, has great ideas and works collaboratively. 

The illustrations feature narrative elements from Hervés memories and function as an extention to the artworks of the cars. Calder’s is all about color, Stella’s about the beauty of mechanics and engineering, Lichtenstein takes inspiration from the 24h sunset/sunrise circle of Le Mans and Warhol painted the car directly in 28 minutes.
